works with the Religious of Jesus and Mary; a nonprofit 501c3 organization, to fundraise and provide logistical and administrative support for the development project. All donations to this organization go directly to the project.

Gros-Morne's need for sustainable economic development drastically increased after an inflow of refugees headed from Port-au-Prince to the countryside. The hen house project will help to provide jobs, industry and improved nutrition to the surrounding community.
Hens For Haiti was recently awarded a 2010 Outstanding Commmitment Award from the Clinton Global Initiative with an $8,000 grant towards implementation of the project!
